Well it’s been a wet and windy start to the 2012 Liverpool League Tennis season. Surely we are due some nice weather. Even with the bad weather there has been plenty of tennis played and our match results secretary has been hard at work processing the results. The first of which are up on the site now. We’ve also added the league tables for the results we’ve got up to the end of Week 2. Please bear in mind that quite a few fixtures are missing due to bad weather postponements.
If you would like a more up to date way of seeing other results from your section then why not get your club to join up with twitter? The Liverpool Tennis Group twitter feed has been up and running for a few weeks and is working really well. Club such as Bohemians (@BohemiansLTC), Eccleston Park (@epltc), Palmerston (@palmerstonltc) and Rainford (@RainfordTennis) have all been posting their results and it would be fantastic if all clubs did the same. Twitter is also a great way of posting news about your club. It takes about 5 minutes to set up and can be accessed from both your mobile device and computer.

I am writing on behalf of Eccleston Park Tennis club who have just been conditionally awarded £50,000 from Sport England to redevelop two of our courts and install a floodlighting system. We have been a member of the Liverpool and district tennis league for many years and was hoping that you would be able to support our planning application we have just submitted.
